Winter Springs High School's International Baccalaureate Programme is officially authorized by the International Baccalaureate Organization. It is an International college preparatory curriculum that allows students to explore the world from a variety of perspectives and to become active, compassionate, and lifelong learners. The programme is highly recognized for its rigor by colleges and universities around the world.

To earn an IB Diploma students must earn a minimum of 24 points in six subjects, complete CAS activities, complete the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) course and write an original 4,000-word research paper (extended essay).  To earn the points in each subject area students are graded on a criterion-referenced scale, meaning each student's performance is measured against well-defined levels of achievement. IB grades on a 1 to 7 scale, with 7 being the highest score attainable for each subject area.

Winter Springs High School's IB Magnet programme is open to all students in Seminole County that are zoned for Hagerty, Lake Howell, Oviedo, or Winter Springs High School, who apply by a set deadline regardless of middle school grades or test scores. Students must apply through Seminole County Public Schools Choices Department by the deadline date of December 1st. Student Assignment and Program Access School Choice Guide may be accessed here.
